Scottsdale Flying Club

Flying club with a Piper Arrow III based at Phoenix Deer Valley Airport.

Welcome

We are a non-profit flying club at Phoenix Deer Valley Airport, sharing a 2004 Piper Arrow III with a freshly overhauled engine and a well-equipped IFR panel.

The Arrow trues out at up to 135 knots on 8.5 gallons an hour, with 72 gallons of usable fuel. Long trips are encouraged rather than merely tolerated — club pilots regularly fly to Northern California, Nebraska, Kansas and Michigan, and trips into Mexico are permitted. Closer to home, our pilots fly missions for Pilots N Paws and Flights for Life.

At $120 per hour dry, we believe the Arrow is the most affordable complex airplane available at any flying club in Arizona — and our $300 join fee is the lowest as well.

We are a small and friendly club, and members are expected to take part in running it. Our hangar sits on the quiet north side of Deer Valley, where there are no queues to take off or land and the self-serve fuel is a short taxi away.
